LAPBAND® and Gastric Bypass weight loss surgeons at the
Minnesota Institute for Minimally Invasive Surgery
The Minnesota Institute for Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIMIS) is located at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center on the
medical campus in Crosby, MN. MIMIS surgery center is a vision and commitment of CRMC and the surgeons of its Eye, Orthopaedic,
Gynecologic, LaparoEndoscopic (General), and Weight Loss surgery specialties to support and promote
minimally invasive surgery.
CRMC’s Minnesota Institute for Minimally Invasive Surgery is home to twelve surgeons trained to perform more than
one-hundred different types of minimally invasive surgical procedures. Using cameras, scopes, and small-diameter surgical tools, these
procedures eliminate the need to make major incisions, lower the risk of infection, and lead to faster recovery for patients, among
many other health benefits. At MIMIS, more than seventy percent of all procedures are performed using minimally invasive techniques.
Of the twelve highly specialized minimally invasive surgeons, four of them—Dr. Timothy LeMieur, Dr. Howard M. McCollister, Dr.
Shawn Roberts, and Dr. Paul Severson—are specially trained and equipped to perform minimally invasive, bariatric weight loss procedures.
